It has been said that once you are in the flooring business, you will never leave. It is true, by choice, people choose to stay in this wonderful industry, build careers, raise families and grow competitors and customers into respected colleagues and friends. As you leave the industry there has been little opportunity to stay connected with the people who were your mentors, friends and teammates, people you had spent considerable time with over your career, this is one of those opportunities. So if you’re a flooring veteran who worked when there was a strong Canadian manufacturing base with carpet companies like Westmills, Bigelow, Crossley Karastan, Hardings, Montcel, Peerless and others you need to be at the Social. If you sold spring green shag carpet, kitchen carpet, parquet hardwood and of course the classic Vinyl Asbestos Tile, then you are a veteran. So whether you have finished the game and are in the 19th hole or still swinging on the back nine, and are proud to be in this great business you are a veteran and need to attend.
