Estimating for Residential Construction covers all the basics of estimating
residential construction starting from the ground up. This includes
disclaimers, walls, roofing systems, metal sheathing and reading and
understanding blueprints. Attendees are provided with a step-by-step
workbook to assist them through the course. The workbook is theirs to keep
for future reference.
Who Should Attend? It is recommended that estimators who frequently
produce estimates for houses should attend this course.
Objectives:
1. Acquire a good understanding of building practices.
2. Gain knowledge of products used in home construction.
3. Learn to produce accurate and professional estimates.
Course Outline
Introduction: Learn how to read a residential blueprint; learn the basics
sections of house construction.
Clarification of Terminology: The attendees will be taken through all
necessary terminology to complete the course.
