During this three-hour course we will discuss a wide range of issues that relate to all involved in a flooring project. Lunch is included.
Topics will include: Industry standards, who is responsible for what on site, surface preparation, leveling concrete and wooden subfloors, subfloor moisture and other testing requirements, product acclimation and common hardwood, laminate and vinyl plank problems.

Chris has worked in the floor covering industry for 30 years. During this time, he has been a flooring contractor, manufacturer’s representative, and business owner. As CEO of the National Floor Covering Association (NFCA) he works as an educator to promote industry standards and updated specifications to guide construction teams to flooring success. Chris operates the NFCA’s Quality Assurance Program, a specifiable, third-party inspection service for commercial projects and is a certified floor covering inspector. Chris speaks at trade shows, travels to educate all construction parties and promotes the standards detailed in the NFCA Floor Covering Reference Manual.

Barry has worked in the flooring industry for the past 27 years. Working as an installer and receiving his red seal and install certificates in 2001, he made the transition to a sales professional, promoting and working with world class companies like; Mapei, Robert, Henry, Tec and Ardex. At Ardex, he primarily focused on, hydraulic cements, polishable overlays, subfloor prep and adhesives. Currently he works for Diamond Hard Solutions as an Account Manager, helping installer succeed in their various installs.
